In this blog post we share the story of one of many amazing events by DIDEA Punta Cana.
We received a call from Lola on a Tuesday night in July, only one week before her actual birthday party.
She told us her plan: to get married in the US and then fly down with her whole family (40 people, most of them coming from Nigeria) to Punta Cana and celebrate her 40th in the DR.
She wondered if time will let us plan everything. After all – we only had less than a week to put it all together.
But that’s exactly what we like about last-minute events: the drive that comes from planning everything thoroughly in just a few days. Plus, the opportunity to amaze our clients once they see what we’ve done.
It was a pleasure working this event for Lola because she knew exactly how she wanted things.
As a venue for her party she chose a private villa in Punta Blanca Golf property. A beautifully furnished venue with a spacious swimming pool and a garden view surrounded by nature and palm trees.
The colors of decoration she chose were a combination of white and fuchsia pink.
After exchanging emails and WhatsApp messages in the following days, we have prepared a personalized package for Lola that included:
– transport for her and her guests from the Ocean el Faro hotel where they stayed and back
– decoration of dinner area with fresh flowers and beautiful centerpieces
– a dinner of their choosing freshly prepared by our chef
– 2 tier chocolate & vanilla cake
– a photographer for the night
– DJ and sound system
– ambient and bistro lights plus a dance floor
– 3 hour local open bar
On July 17th our team met in the villa early in the morning to make sure everything was done just as Lola imagined it.
After 8 hours of work that day, Lola and her 40 guests were finally able to see the result.
Everyone showed up dressed in white. Lola herself arrived last like a true star of the party.
Even the rain that started pouring out of nowhere (well, we are in the Caribbean after all) couldn’t affect the beautiful vibe of Lola’s party.
Everyone had an amazing time, dancing like there is no tomorrow and even not wanting to leave when the transport showed up to take them back to the hotel.
For us that was the true confirmation of a job well done.
We are very thankful to Lola for putting her trust in us.
We really hope she will keep her promise to come back to Punta Cana and let us plan her 45th! 🙂
